Villa Dordi - Val di Sella
CIN: IT022022C2JFYPKQ5I

Villa Dordi is an ancient noble summer residence in Val di Sella, in Trentino, in the municipality of Borgo Valsugana. Remaining intact over time, it is located in a grassy clearing surrounded by a privately owned forest, rich in biodiversity, mainly consisting of Norway spruce and beech at about 1000 meters above sea level.

The villa has six double bedrooms and four bathrooms. On the ground floor there is a large kitchen with a wood stove, electric hobs, microwave oven, refrigerator and dishwasher, and a dining room. On the same floor there is also a deconsecrated chapel that can be used as a games room (table tennis) or for other common activities. On the first floor there is a lounge with a fireplace and two small balconies and two bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom, the other with a bathroom on the landing. On the second floor there are the other four rooms with two shared bathrooms. Firewood is available in the woodshed for the two stoves, the fireplace, the wood stove, and barbecues. Hot water is heated with solar panels.
That this valley is a unique and magical place was discovered by Art as early as 1986. Since then, year after year, more than 300 artists have contributed to the creation of Arte Sella, one of the most important art parks in the world, a place where artworks coexist with nature, waiting for nature itself to decide their end. A place that changes in respect of the times and ways of the environment. www.artesella.it

There are no shops in Val di Sella. The nearest shops are in Olle and Borgo Valsugana, about 10 km away. The Casa nel Bosco is a place where you need to know how to organize yourself and perhaps also adapt, but it is perfect for those looking for something different from the kind of tourism that is changing the mountains, for those seeking peace and silence with the possibility of trips among centuries-old trees, mountain bike excursions on organized routes, or even just walking and collecting mushrooms.
